Why in your opinion is pking dead?
and what can be done to fix the problem in the future?
Answer:In my honest opinion PK has ceased due to the lack of tangibility of PK supplies; with the server population generally all avid fans of the Runescape Classic community many player have ventured across multiple private servers over the years; many have grown accustomed to the easy acquirement of armours, weapons and supplies.With how RSCL's experience rates are this is difficult for those whom are used to and prefer easy asset acquirement; for whichever reasons they may have. Life being busy; working, parenting and so on. Automated play became a large part of many PKers regiment having bots work for them to attain their assets. Staff has cracked down heavily on automated play and I think that sent some if not many packing. There were also unfulfilled updates that were advertised as well as necessary bug-fixes which impeded PK's Success for RSCL in the both the short and long-term.
What can be done; there is a heavy focus on rebooting so to speak the focus on PK and follow-through. Bugfixes have been applied and are already being reviewed more constantly. With the staff changes we are also better equipped to have more focus applied to this aspect of game play - with dedication and focus on making PK more cost friendly which is being looked at in a multiple point of view and with different concepts still being decided upon in my opinion Staff will remedy immediate concerns for PKers and always try to listen to the community input when it is direct and concise as opposed to derogatory or insulting.Answered by: CM Zack.
Everyone is wanting to know about slayer Zack. And skillcapes as well. I remember you telling me that you dont like giving estimates or approximated dates due to the possibility of spreading false hopes. So let me ask you this. What remains needing to be done on slayer as well as skillcapes? Are the majority of the sprites and coding complete? What about all the angle work? For the most part are the cities and areas mostly replicated? What is still needing to be done to finish up slayer? And what's the hold up on skillcapes?
Answer:There is a lot of work that needs to be done. Danny did make a city for Slayer, but that's about as far as it is at this time. Once we release some minor updates and content to improve gameplay we will take another look at Slayer.
Skill Capes. Most are completed while some need a couple of minor fixes to them. This is something that the designer is aware of and is in the process of fixing.

I was not online at the given time to give Zack information about the Slayer skill.
It's not a small city, it's actually a big town with multiple sectors, three floor tower(s) and bunch of other things, and that do not take a day to complete.
There are currently two monsters made for the skill. Each monster has 18 frames. Paying a 2D artist to draw monsters is NOT cheap and it takes hell of a lot of time.
The slayer skill system is started but not complete, we said we wanted to do it right and professionally, which includes client interfaces for slayer tasks, tracking tasks, bunch of new monsters etc.. The biggest factor why it's taking so much time lays on making the monsters.

How will you get competitive Pking going on this server again? Most Pkers were hesitant about switching servers and training accounts here but they did and now they left again and said they will not come back because of the way that things are ran here.
Answer:Making it more accessible to be able to PK. We understand that PKers don't like having to take a long time to train, the drop rates don't allow for a lot of PKing time. We'll be looking this and adjusting both of these issues.Answered by: Pluto
What big pushes do you have towords maintaing and increasing the pk populatin and activity? Are there updates planned for pking and how would these updates increase the pking population?

Since the thread closes today I shall ask one last needed question. Do you plan on implementing any clan features? I know we have clans but at this time they are either for pking or sort of a chat club of sorts. Perhaps maybe clan skilling or clan wars? Clan competition events? What are your thoughts if any on this particular concept?
Answer:Clan activity primarily; clan wars/territory was planned for quite some time and the development for it; the challenge being the needed player-base to allow it to be a success. Currently with the lower player count of late; one clan dominating the clan territory does not fulfill the territories concept potential. There is planning being considered for the territory for it to be implemented after other aspects of PK have been evaluated and tackled. We need players to get it to be what the staff envisioned it to be; an area where multiple clans are working to take over/battle to thrive in this newer developing concept.Single team domination is only good for that team and the rest of the community does not enjoy the benefit of the update.Answered by: CM Zack.
