Tell them about RSC wiki, show them where a bank is, give them some starter items, give them tips, everything helps to keep new players playing the game and to not lose interest in the first 10 mins, they don't know the world like there back of there hand like we do, and RSC is a pretty hard game to start on, when I first started I spent 2 weeks in al-kharid because I didn't know any better, remind them that its good to adventure. If you don't then were bringing in all these new players for no reason, anyways thanks guys. It will all be worth it trust me.
We are planning to make quality of life better for these new players.
We had in mind Quest Gui, Stats Gui and maybe quest marker above NPC that start a quest .
Also having an in game map system could help them with how to navigate around the world.
I love the quest arrow and in game map ideas... reason I haven't started agility until today is the vast lands of the west being very massive. I didn't want to get lost. Quest arrow is essential no matter what.
Maybe give new characters a "Return to Lumbridge" item in their inventory that lasts a week, so they can browse around and do some adventuring without the worry of getting lost. I think the large majority of players are hardened veterans here for the nostalgia though it'd be pretty rare to have a complete newbie find the game.
